Melinda Giancola is the chief of the data collection and analysis unit within the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) of the U.S. Department of Education. Melinda is responsible for the Case Service Report (RSA-911), performance accountability, and RSA’s Management Information Systems, used by agencies to report program and fiscal data.
Melinda began with RSA in June 2016. Prior to RSA, Melinda worked at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) where she managed the data collection of several federal-state cooperative survey programs. During her tenure at BLS, Melinda developed several quality assurance programs and served on a team charged with evaluating a variety of the BLS’s quality assurance programs. Melinda served as the project lead for several IT development projects during her time at BLS.
Melinda received her bachelor’s degree in economics and statistics from the University of Pittsburgh and her master’s degree in business administration from Loyola University Maryland.
